    We're a team of freelancers and consultants who work as copywriters, strategists, designers and developers who come together to become a virtual fractional team to deliver tangible outcomes.

    We're passionate about our discipline and how what we do makes people's lives not just easier but happier.

    The origin story

    With a passion for pens and prose, it was a natural progression for our founder, Helen, to become a copywriter and start consultancy Red Clay Media (named after a Freddie Hubbard album) to pioneer leadership in experience engineering as an expert in all things content - from backend functionality to frontend discovery and everything in between.

    She worked as a content expert with FTSE100 companies in her 25-year career, spanning lots of different industries and sectors, rising from junior to leading multi-disciplined teams to deliver content from end-to-end. She's picked up awards for Website of the Year, Best Social Media Campaign (Digital Impact Awards), Best User Experience (UX Awards) and Top Digital Response to Covid of all FTSE100 Companies (Cagool).

    Her experience is so vast and knowledge so deep, she wrote a book revolutionising content thinking, called I, No one.

    She also ran an independent record label called Heathen (named after a David Bowie album) and she was a promoter of two critically acclaimed live music nights, Screwball Cabaret and Die Young Stay Pretty (named after a Blondie track).

    During her career as a music journo, she interviewed Brett Anderson from Suede and Kasabian. I was a regular on BBC Radio Berkshire's The Demo Panel. And she appeared in AC/DC's Runaway Train video.

    Outside of the work thing, she also writes fictional novels, dances like a loon, drinks like a fish, indulges in cultural activities and satisfies her wanderlust. She also got a highly commended for her drawing of a hedgehog at primary school but that was not inspired by any musical legends.
